about

LAUREN WILLIAMS, M.D. Holistic Psychiatrist

I’m a board-certified psychiatrist and a firm believer that real healing happens when we stop chasing symptoms and start listening to the deeper story our bodies and minds tell. My work is guided by curiosity, clinical precision, and a fierce commitment to seeing the whole human being in front of me, not just the diagnosis. This isn’t conventional psychiatry. It’s soul-led, science-rooted care for those who are ready to heal at the core.

My Journey

My journey towards integrative medicine began when I became disenchanted with a healthcare system that seemed to prioritize profiting from diseases rather than truly focusing on prevention and enhancing patients’ well-being.

This motivated me to explore alternative approaches and seek more comprehensive solutions for my patients.

Before embarking on my medical career, I worked as a calculus teacher in high-risk schools. This experience instilled a passion for education and fostering human potential. I then ventured into the technology sector, teaching myself to code and gaining valuable insights into the intersection of technology and healthcare. These exposures scaffolded how I conceptualized medical concepts and my flexibility towards innovation.

As a board-certified adult psychiatrist, I have received extensive training in modern and traditional remedies.

In my training, I completed a Public Psychiatry fellowship at Case Western Reserve University and a REACH Addiction fellowship at Yale, both of which focused on providing real, compassionate care for communities that are often overlooked.

Those years gave me more than clinical knowledge. They taught me how complex, unseen, and sacred the healing process really is. Today, my work in integrative psychiatry is shaped not just by science, but by a deep desire to heal at every level—physical, emotional, and energetic.

I'm especially drawn to energy and anti-aging medicine, and to the ways trauma can silently anchor itself into the nervous system, holding people back from the life they’re meant to live.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of treating trauma in veterans, supporting ADHD and neuroplasticity with ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), and using targeted therapies like EMDR and ART to open new paths to healing.

I'm endlessly curious about what frees people, and just as committed to understanding what quietly keeps them stuck.
